Our pellets are 100% pine and have the EN-PLUS A1 certified quality seal from the Avebiom certifier. EXTRA QUALITY Wood pellets are a standardised ecological fuel made up of sawdust, chips and wood shavings that are pressed and free of any additives. With defined physicochemical characteristics, pellets are presented as the alternative within heating with renewable energies. Its main characteristics are:
- Constant humidity: lower than conventional firewood.
- Convenience: Its design allows automated transport from the silo to the combustion chamber.
- Environmental protection: heating with pellets means a neutral CO2 balance.
- High efficiency in very little space: Approximately 2 tons of pellets are equivalent to 1000 liters of diesel, 900 m3 of natural gas and 4.5 m3 of wood chips
SPECIAL PRICE PER PALLET
The ENplus® quality certification system is based on the European standard EN 14961-2 which refers to wood pellets for non-industrial use.
It divides wood pellets into tres qualities:
Class A1 stands for virgin wood pellets and chemically untreated wood residues, with low ash, nitrogen and chlorine contents.
Fuels with a slightly higher ash, nitrogen and/or chlorine content will be within class A2.
In class B, recycled wood and industrial waste are also allowed to be used, although chemically treated wood is not accepted in both origins and in fact there are very strict maximum values for heavy metals.
The system has been developed by the German Pellet Association (DEPV) and the Austrian Association of Pellet Producers (Pro Pellets Austria). The rights to the ENplus brand are held by the European Pellet Council (EPC) and the rights in each country are assigned to each national Association (Avebiom in the case of Spain).
In Spain, the national association in charge of the implementation of the ENplus® system is Avebiom, from which the requests of producers and/or marketers are coordinated with the different entities that carry out both documentary and analytical audits of the pellet.
